My name is Shalon Clevenger. In 2025, God led me to create Open Doors 323 LLC d/b/a Shalon Alexis Coaching to lead generations to pursue wholeness through relationship with Jesus, themselves, and others. This can happen through one-on-one coaching, group coaching, resource support (workshops, books, podcast, etc.), and more. If you find yourself at an unexpected place in life’s journey, I would love to listen to your story.
Of course, there’s way more to my story . . .
“Are you ever going to settle down and just stay where you are?” This was a question a woman who once had great influence in my life asked me when I shared with her my dream of being a life coach. Other unsettling questions I recall earlier in life also tried to derail what God had seen and planned for me long before I was even born. Nevertheless, God continued to lead me through small steps and challenging journeys with inspiration, affirmations, love, mercy, and grace. Perhaps, you can relate to some dream-stealers and hope-givers as well. Enough of me waxing poetic, right? Here’s what most people expect to learn on a traditional “About Us” page:
- I hold a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University
- I am a Board-Certified Master Mental Health Coach
- I am a trauma-informed life coach with specialized training in women’s issues, grief & loss, addiction & recovery, and more.
- I have experienced loss of loved ones, loss of identity & self-esteem, loss through divorce, loss of health, and more.
- I am a mother of two (adult) daughters, which God helped me raise on my own.
- I am a kidney transplant recipient (10 years and praising 🙌🏼) and lupus survivor.
- I enjoy golfing, tennis, traveling, music, reading, writing (not arithmetic 😆), and spending any kind of time with the ones I love!
- I have been a coach all of my life, first coaching myself through some pretty heavy stuff as a child, and then coaching my peers, teammates, and occasionally some teachers and athletic coaches through high school and college, then coaching my children’s sports’ teams, coaching fellow believers and co-ministers in Christ, until one day I became “official” and “professional.
- I have always been me, Shalon Alexis Clevenger, human.
